Comparison
MacDuty vs JUUZ
MacDuty and JUUZ (MacCloud) compared for a dedicated Mac mini: the same generations, the price for each build, stock, billing by the day, where each is better.
Updated 2026-10-16
JUUZ, trading as MacCloud, rents Macs from the Netherlands. Of everyone in this market they are the closest to us in shape: the same span of generations, from the M1 to the M6 and the M5 Pro, rented by the month. They are also the one competitor with real inventory. If you are choosing between the two, this page is the arithmetic.
The price for the same Mac
JUUZ's prices read from its site on 13 October 2026; ours are the catalog's as it stands today. Monthly, in euro, excluding VAT. The last column is their month minus ours, in euro.
| Mac mini | MacDuty, monthly | JUUZ, monthly | MacDuty, paid yearly | Gap, a month |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| M1, 16 GB, 256 GB | €75 | 79 EUR | €60 | €4 |
| M2, 8 GB, 256 GB | €75 | 79 EUR, reduced from 89 | €60 | €4 |
| M4, 16 GB, 256 GB | €109 | 109 EUR | €87 | Same |
| M6, 16 GB, 256 GB | €128 | 139 EUR, reduced from 159 | €102 | €11 |
| M6, 24 GB, 256 GB | €139 | 179 EUR | €111 | €40 |
| M6, 32 GB, 256 GB | €149 | 199 EUR | €119 | €50 |
| M5 Pro, 24 GB, 512 GB | €189 | 249 EUR | €151 | €60 |
| M5 Pro, 48 GB, 512 GB | €225 | 299 EUR | €180 | €74 |
Neither of us charges a setup fee. Three things worth reading out of that table rather than leaving in it.
On the M4 we are identical, the same figure in both columns. No gap in either direction.
On the M2 theirs is a discounted price, cut from 89. A gap of a few euro is not a reason to move.
On the M6 and the M5 Pro the gap widens with memory. On the entry M6 it is not a reason to move on its own; at 32 GB, and on either M5 Pro, it is. Over a year, paid yearly, take their month against our yearly column and multiply by twelve: that is what one machine costs more at JUUZ.

Where JUUZ is genuinely better
- They had more Macs ready. On the day we read their stock they listed 8 of 22 configurations available immediately, including fifteen M6 machines. Our catalogue shows availability live. If you need a specific Mac this week, check both catalogues; for what is not ready here, the way in is the notify list, and a pre-order of a Mac Apple has not shipped yet is charged only once it is racked.
- The Mac Studio. M1 Max, M2 Max and M4 Max, up to 64 GB. Our catalog is Mac minis only, so our ceiling is 64 GB, on an M4 Pro or an M5 Pro. If you need a Studio, they have one.
- A virtual Mac option, and RDP. If what you want is a cheap macOS desktop rather than a whole machine, they sell that too. We only sell the whole machine, which is more than some people need.
- Longer in the market, with a working shop, stock counts on every card and a cart. We are the new host.
Where MacDuty is better
- Price on the current generations, the M6 and the M5 Pro, by the gap in the table above, wider as the memory goes up.
- More configurations: ours are counted in the table above, theirs are 22. You pick memory and disk separately, from 8 to 64 GB and from 256 GB to 8 TB. Their cards are fixed combinations, mostly on a 256 GB disk.
- A yearly rate, at the discount in the table above. They bill monthly, with occasional discounts on individual machines instead.
- Billing by the day. The day price of the cheapest M1 and M6 is in the table above; their shortest term is a month. For a certificate renewal or one release cycle, a month is the wrong unit.
- Always a whole physical Mac. We do not sell virtual Macs at all, so there is no question about which side of the catalogue you landed on, and no shared machine anywhere in the product.
- Restart from your account at any hour, and reset the password or change the SSH keys from the same place, without a ticket. A Mac that stops responding is powered off and on again by our staff, with nobody walking to the rack.
Moving from JUUZ
Nothing proprietary to unpick if you are on one of their dedicated machines: root, SSH, and a physical Mac on both sides. Carry over your Xcode installation, keychain and signing certificates, SPM and CocoaPods caches, and your runner registration.
What to check first: whether you are actually on a dedicated Mac or on their virtual option, whether you are on a Mac Studio, and whether you are paying for their additional storage. The first two have no equivalent here; the third will have one when backup storage arrives with the 2026 Macs, as a separate service.
- Connect to your Mac mini, the desktop with RustDesk or Screen Sharing, and the terminal over SSH
- Self-hosted GitHub Actions runner on a Mac mini, if your runner is moving with you

Questions
- Is MacDuty cheaper than JUUZ?
- On the M6 and the M5 Pro, yes, and by more as the memory goes up; the gap for each build is in the table above. On the M4 and the older chips, read the same table, and remember that theirs on the M2 is a discounted price. Prices exclude VAT; theirs read on 13 October 2026, ours are the catalog's as it stands today.
- Can I get a Mac from MacDuty today?
- Sometimes. The catalogue marks which configurations are ready today; for the others the way in is the notify list. JUUZ had stock on the day we checked.
- Does MacDuty sell virtual Macs?
- No. Every machine is a whole physical Mac mini, with nothing shared. JUUZ sells both.
- Does MacDuty have a Mac Studio?
- No, Mac minis only. The ceiling is 64 GB. JUUZ rents Mac Studios up to the M4 Max.
- Can I rent a Mac mini for a week?
- With us, yes, we bill by the day. JUUZ sells monthly.
