Cancel your Mac or withdraw
How to end your Mac's service: cancel at any time, or withdraw from the contract within 14 days if you are a consumer. What each does, and what happens to your data.

There are two ways to end your Mac's service, both in your account: cancel, at any time, and withdraw from the contract, in the first 14 days if you bought as a consumer.
Either one ends the whole order. If you bought several Macs together, they end together.
- When the service ends, the Mac is erased and nothing on it can be recovered. Copy off anything you want to keep first.
- Only the person who placed the order can end it.
Where to find it
- 1Sign in and open Billing.
- 2Under the order, choose Cancel or withdraw.It opens the Mac's Billing tab at Ending the service. The same block is at the bottom of every Mac's Billing tab.
Something not working? Write to us first from your account: most things are fixed faster than a new Mac is set up.
Cancel
- Cancelling stops the renewals. The Mac runs to the end of the period you have already paid for, then it is erased.
- Tick End now to stop it and erase it at once instead.
- Cancelling does not refund the period you have already paid for.
- Changed your mind? Until that date, Keep my Mac at the top of the Mac's page undoes the cancellation and nothing changes.
Withdraw, in the first 14 days
If you bought as a consumer, on your personal account, you may withdraw from the contract within 14 days of ordering, without giving a reason. A company account cannot withdraw; it cancels.
- The service runs to the end of the day in progress, then the Mac is erased: Apple's licence for macOS lets a Mac be leased only in periods of at least 24 consecutive hours.
- If you asked for the service to start straight away, you get back the part of the period not yet begun, and you agreed to pay for the part already used. If you did not, you get back everything you paid.
- The refund goes back to the card or account you paid with, within 14 days of the day you withdraw, at no cost to you, and we confirm it by email.
